What this site is

FSBO Eastern Shore is a for-sale-by-owner listing platform for properties on the Delmarva Peninsula. We connect sellers who want to list their own property with buyers who are looking in the region. We are not a real estate broker, agent, or lender.

Information we collect

We collect information in two situations:

When you create a seller account: your name, email address, and phone number. Your email is used to send listing notifications, moderation status updates, and inquiry messages. It is never displayed publicly on the site.

When you send an inquiry as a buyer: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the message you write. We also log the IP address of inquiry submissions as a basic fraud and abuse measure.

We do not collect payment information. We do not run advertising networks. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics scripts.

How we use your information

Seller contact information is used to send you notifications about your listing, route buyer inquiries to you by email, and communicate with you about your account. Buyer contact information is forwarded to the seller of the property you inquired about. Your email address is never visible to the seller directly through the site. The message arrives from our system, and the seller replies to you directly.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you logged in while you use the site. It expires when you close your browser or log out. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any third-party cookie services.

Google Fonts loads from Google's servers when you visit the site. This is a standard web typography service. Google's own privacy policy governs that request.

Email

We send transactional email only: account verification, listing status updates, inquiry forwarding, and inquiry confirmations. We do not send marketing email. You can stop receiving emails by deleting your account or contacting us.

Your information and your listing

Your street address is stored privately and is never shown to site visitors. Only the general location you provide (city, town, or area description) appears on your public listing. Your full address may be shared with a buyer at your discretion after an inquiry, but we do not do this automatically.

Data retention

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Inquiry records are retained for 12 months for fraud prevention purposes and then deleted.

Minors

This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We will not retroactively use your data in ways materially different from what was described when you provided it.
